I didn’t know where I would start with getting baby stuff. I having three younger brothers and a sister plus a niece and nephew so I should of had some idea of what to start buying but I had no clue. I looked at the baby aisle thinking okay today is the day that I am going to buy him his first toy, or his first pack of diapers. Get to said aisle and just feel overwhelmed, I turn around and look at what new movie was out. So one of the first items that we put on our registry was this bouncer. I know you could leave them in it and they would be content for hours. The kid is on top of the dining room table where I’m seated right next to him typing this in his bouncer right now.
When we first found out the wife was pregnant we knew we didn’t want to know the sex of the baby so we had to pick a lot of gender neutral items. That was the hardest fucking part of the whole thing for me at least. And then when the baby shower happened we got maybe two to three things off our list so it was kinda of a waste of time in the first place to be honest. It still gave people an idea of what we needed though.
Our first big thing that we got the baby was a JEEP Jogger Stroller. I don’t know what kind or model it is because we bought it from some lady off facebook. The next thing we bought was a glider chair, again I don’t know the make or model because we bought it off some lady again on facebook. You don’t really need a lot of new top of the line shit to get started with a baby. Babies grow and that means they outgrow a lot of things very quickly. Someone said that with their first kid it was all brand new crap but they never ended up using it so with their second kid they got all second hand stuff. Unless your an A-list celeb or someone who’s eyes are always on you and your family then yes spring for the $2000 crib. If you’re just a regular family then there is nothing wrong with second hand items for the baby in the first few months. That’s all for now !
